Aunty Q Recipes Kitchens (Arena Curve)
About This Spot
Stepping into Aunty Q Recipes Kitchens at Arena Curve feels like entering a bustling corner of Penang’s culinary heartbeat, where every nook hums with lively chatter and the rich aroma of home-cooked meals. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, marked by the friendly smiles of staff who clearly take pride in sharing flavors that echo familiar memories, yet with their own distinctive touch. It’s the kind of place where the pace slows just enough to savor the simple joy of a well-made dish, yet never feels too quiet — a lively neighborhood spot that embraces both regulars and curious newcomers alike.
The heartbeat of this kitchen lies in its ability to bring together a diverse palette of richly textured dishes centered around the hearty, beloved siuyuk (roasted pork). Whether it’s the comforting warmth of a bowl of wantan mee topped with crispy pork, or the satisfying layers of flavor in their signature siuyuk nasi lemak, each meal offers a chance to explore familiar favorites in new, carefully considered ways. Beyond pork, the menu widens to include choices that balance spice and comfort, with stir-fried mala pots that tingle the senses and clam soups that soothe the soul.
But what truly makes the experience linger is the atmosphere — relaxed yet vibrant, where you might find a mix of conversations flowing easily between tables and the steady hum of the kitchen busy at work. It’s in the small attentions too: a welcomed smile at the door, a thoughtful tweak to a dish upon request, or a complimentary ice cream to cap off the meal, lending a hush of sweetness to the lively backdrop.
For those who appreciate a meal spiced with warmth and community, where every dish tells a subtle story of place and tradition without fuss or fanfare, Aunty Q Recipes Kitchens offers a gentle invitation: come a little hungry, and leave a little fuller — in appetite and spirit.

Been here for 2x already. warning: this stall provides pork, hence I dont advise to come if you can't eat it for any reasons, pros - variety of condiments and meats on your preference - affordable for a noodle set that you can pick the condiment at, I remember I once buy like this before on another place and it cost me almost 50rm in the same amount of order. while here its like 12-15rm cheaper - frest meats (yes this is very important, or you might hurt your stomach if its not fresh) cons - nope

First time here. We ordered siew yuk Wantan mee and sesame oil chicken. Both were delicious and the portion was quite big. Friendly staff especially Jin Eng who greeted us with big smiles. I would definitely return to try other items on the big menu.

Friendly staff. Food was good. Ordered crumbed fish rice & asked for less rice & more vegetables, got what i requested where some places might not give the additional vege. Fish outer layer is crispy & taste good with mushroom sauce. Rice topped with sauce which enhances the dish. The chili sauce was spicy. Good in overall. They deliver their food well but can't find any uniqueness.

First time here. Hotpot pork set with free flow soup, drink & potong ice cream. Chose spinach noodles & clear soup. Nice flavours. Sharing is allowed. Service is very good. The 2 ladies were attentive, helpful & polite. Atmosphere is nice. Soft music. Easy to talk. No echoes. Will come again.

Tried Aunty Q at Arena Curve and it was awesome! The roast pork noodles were super tasty—the pork was crispy and the noodles had great flavor. The fried rice with egg and pork was also really good, and I loved the little curry soup on the side. We also shared the rojak, which was fresh and crunchy with a sweet-savory sauce. Drinks were solid too—the iced milk tea hit the spot. Portions are big, prices are fair, and the place feels clean and comfy. Service was fast even though it was busy. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

A really pleasant dining experience! Came here with three friends and was pleasantly surprised by the ongoing promotion of 4 dine, 1 eats free. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. From what I observed, the vegetables were fresh, and the quality was consistent across all our dishes. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place. A solid 10/10!
